Beautiful weather and lots of people blessed this year's Austin's annual Apple Butter Festival, sponsored by the United Methodist Church and held on the church grounds.

In addition to making gallons of apple butter, the United Methodist Women made some 1,200 apple dumplings- all of which they sold. It took approximately 70 bushels of apples to meet the demands of the event.

Here, Pastor John Baney, Lisa Fertitta and the pastor's son, John make apple butter the old fashioned way- in a cast iron kettle, over an open wood fire.
