Dale A. Jackson

A memorial service for Dale Andrew Jackson will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 12, at American Legion Post 192 in Coudersport. Mr. Jackson, 86, died April 8, 2012, at his home. A luncheon will follow Saturday’s service and a time of visitation until 3 pm. The Rev. M. Thomas Shatto will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Potter County Hospice, c/o Cole Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Olney Funeral Home of Ulysses.

Bernice N. Wallace

Bernice N. Wallace, 94, of formerly of Emporium died May 6, 2012, in Whitehall. She was born August 18, 1917 in Pittsburgh a daughter of Charles and Lynn Miller Blews. On April 25, 1942, in Penfield, she married Ralph V. Wallace, who predeceased her. Mrs. Wallace held a masters degree in education. She served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Among survivors is a daughter, Linda (Mrs. John) Gallotti of Rochester, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Emporium on Saturday (today) at 11 am. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery. Barnett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Warren B. Cooper

Warren B. Cooper, a retired state police officer who lived in Coudersport for many years, died May 5, 2012, in Summit Hill. He was 91. Mr. Cooper served with the Marines in World War II and spent 34 years with the Pennsylvania State Police, retiring in 1980. In 1948, he married the former Betty Golden, who predeceased him. Among survivors are two sons, Richard Cooper of Allentown and Bruce Cooper of Shell Beach, Calif. Burial was in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport. Arrangements are under the direction of the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home of Quakertown.
