Sportsmen rethinking winter feeding

Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association members held a long discussion of its winter wildlife feeding program. Higher corn costs may force the organization to limit its distribution in the coming winter.

As for a more long-term solution to wildlife feeding, members were informed that a food plot to improve habitat will soon be planted near Pottersdale in Clearfifield County.

Eighth annual coyote hunt will be held Feb. 15-17. Animals taken by registered hunters in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Maryland, and West Virginia may be entered. Registration fee is $10 and club membership is required.

For information on the club, call 814-546-2835.
