Patricia L. Grimone

Patricia L. Grimone, 82, of Emporium, died Oct. 13, 2012, at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium. She was born June 23, 1930 in Kane. In 1950, she married the late Frank H. Grimone. A 1948 graduate of Bradford High School, Mrs. Grimone was employed at Pennsylvania Pressed Metals. Among survivors are five sons, Larry, Dave and Matt Grimone of Emporium, Jim Grimone of Avondale, La., and Frank Grimone of Pinehurst, N.C. Barnett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the public library in Emporium.

Gloria M. Berry

Gloria M. Berry, 72, of Emporium, died Oct. 16, 2012, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie. She was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Emporium, a daughter of Anthony and Mabel (Streich) Gennocro. In 1964, she married Dale Berry Sr. Mrs. Berry graduated from Emporium High School. She worked at Sylvania, Widmann’s and the Market Basket. Among survivors are two sons, Edward Rankus of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dale Berry Jr. of Emporium; two daughters, Melissa Marton and Beth Legersky, both of Emporium; three brothers, James Gennocro of Emporium, Sam Gennocro of Duke Center and Mick Gennocro of Morristown, Tenn.; and two sisters, Dorothy Chirillo of Bradford and Margy Putt of Emporium. Barnett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in St. Mark Catholic Cemetery.

Daniel P. Nauman

Daniel P. Nauman, 90, of Ulysses, died Oct. 15, 2012, in his home. A native of Manheim, he owned and operated a dairy farm in Ulysses Township from 1962 until retiring in 1995. Among survivors are a son, Jesse Nauman of Ulysses; four daughters, Janet (Mrs. Charles) Ness of Skippack, Jeanette (Mrs. Donald) Miller of Ulysses, Mildred (Mrs. Fred) Hershey of Lancaster, and Margaret (Mrs. Marcus) Thomsen of Millersville, PA; three step-sons, Benjamin Newcomer of Lake Wales, Fla., Glenn Newcomer of Elmira, N.Y., and Lynn Newcomer of Emporium; two step-daughters, Joyce (Mrs. Harold) Lefever of Elmira, N.Y., and Sharon (Mrs. Larry) Cleek of Freeville, N.Y. Olney Funeral Home of Ulysses was in charge of local arrangements. Burial will be in Hess Mennonite Cemetery, Lititz. Memorials may be made to Penn-York Camp, Potter County Hospice, or Valley Christian Church.

Jane M. Daniels

Jane M. Daniels, 68, of Gold, died Oct. 13, 2012. Born July 23, 1944, in Wellsville, N.Y., she was the daughter of Chester H. and Betsey E. Young Morley. On June 11, 1966, in Gold, she married Clayton W. Daniels Sr.. She was a member of the Gold Church. Among survivors are two sons, Guy Daniels of Coudersport and Clayton (Luanne) Daniels Jr. of Gold; a daughter, Betsey Daniels of Coudersport; a step-daughter, Diana Hinson of Bush, La.; four sisters, Jeannette Buck of Gold, Peg (Mrs. Jon) Parshall of Athens, Kathy Soule of Gold, and Cindy Alackness of Roulette; and a brother, Daniel Morley of Gold. Olney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Raymond Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gold Church, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.

Phillip J. Fuller

Phillip J. Fuller, 70, of Shinglehouse, died Oct. 12, 2012, at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport. Born Feb. 24, 1942, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of Lawrence L. and Winnona E. “Nonie” (Austin) Fuller. In 1979 in Port Allegany, he married Laurie L. Baker. Mr. Fuller was an employee of PennDOT and was the owner and operator of Fuller’s Wood Pellet Sales in Shinglehouse. He attended Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle. He and his wife ran the former Blessing Shop in Shinglehouse, providing clothing for the needy. Among survivors are his wife, three daughters, and a son, James E. Pesock of Shinglehouse. Burial was in Bell Run Cemetery, Shinglehouse. Memorials may be made to Joyful Rescues of Cuba, N.Y. Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, was in charge of arrangements.

Marcia F. Merritt

Marcia F. Merritt, 93, of Ulysses, died Oct. 9, 2012 in her home. She was born Dec. 22, 1918, in Syracuse, N.Y., she was the daughter of Miner and Helen (Rappleya) Swetland. In 1948, she married Stanley T. Merritt. Mrs. Merritt was a nurse at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, N.Y., for several years. Olney Funeral Home of Ulysses was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Ulysses Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ulysses Public Library.
