Rotary beautifies downtown Galeton

Galeton Rotary club has adopted a project to improve the downtown area of Potter County’s second-largest town.

Local Rotarian Pete Folk, who serves as assistant district governor, reported that planter benches around the lake and Collins Park have been stained by community service volunteers. He said he and his wife Jean will maintain the planters through the summer months as well.

In other business, two Rotary District 7360 representatives explained a new internetbased program now in place to help clubs interact and keep memberships better informed while reducing the workload on local club secretaries.
