Gale Hose Ambulance Company has moved into the new headquarters at the corner of West and Union Streets in Galeton. An open house is being planned for the near future. Designer and builder was William Duell. The building doubles as an emergency shelter with auxiliary power. Gale Hose service to the region dates back more than 110 years. The $1.1 million building was designed to resemble a railroad building, in tribute to the community’s rich history as a major railroad town.
