Fall festival in Galeton September 30

Galeton will once again be celebrating the changing of the seasons with its annual Fall Festival at Collins Park.

Vendors will be set up from 10 am to 4 am on Saturday, Sept. 30, selling handcrafted wood products and others crafts, jewelry, quilts, books, clothing, and a wide array of food.

A highlight will be the “doghouse games” offered by Second Chance Animal Sanctuary. Those bringing canines to participate in the six challenge events must keep their animals leashed. Entry fee is $5.00.

Live music will be performed by Joe Callahan. A children’s sing-along will be held complete with musical instruments.

There will also be an auction with prizes donated by area businesses and vendors. Teacher’s Pet Rescue will be on hand with a face-painting booth.

Chamber of Commerce will hold a version of the popular “Rocks On” hide-and-seek game. Rocks valued at $5.00 will be hidden in the park. Once found, they can be redeemed at participating businesses.

There is no charge for admission or parking.
