Children from area schools enjoyed a day off Wednesday as a winter storm dropped anywhere between 6 to 10 inches of snow and sleet on local communities. Emporium’s Lilly Major took advantage of the opportunity to create her own snow angel in the lot next to the Cameron County Artisan Center. As part of a ‘snow flash mob,’ an anonymous patron donated cocoa to help the kids stay warm in-between snowball battles and other activities. Lilly is the daughter of Juneann and the late John Major.
