Another round of reduced-cost rabies clinics being operated by the Penn State Extension 4-H clubs and Dr. Lindsay Schwartzmeyer (left) got underway last weekend at the Coudersport Firehall. 4-H members assisted Dr. Lindsay and Theresa Denhoff from the Potter County Veterinary Clinic in administering vaccines to pets for $5.00. All clinics will be held on a Saturday from 1-4 pm. Remainder of the schedule is as follows: Roulette Firehall, May 12; Galeton Collins Park, June 2; Shinglehouse Community Park, July 14; and Ulysses Tri-Town Firehall, Aug. 25. All dogs, cats, and ferrets that are at least 12 weeks old can be vaccinated against rabies virus. Animals brought to clinics must be on a least or in a container. Among attendees last weekend were Travis Rees (left) and Dominic Rees with Sassy.
