STEM lab open house Thursday

Cameron County School District will celebrate the completion of Woodland Elementary School’s new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) lab with an open house on Thursday, April 19 from 6:30 to 8 pm.

It’s the culmination of a year-long process in which the district engaged with stakeholders such as the Mee Foundation, Emporium Foundation and First Community Foundation of Pennsylvania, who provided financial assistance to help make the new learning environment a reality.

STEM facilitator Bonnie Burgess and a group of students will demonstrate features of the lab and its equipment.
