Grupp announces candidacy

Nancy Grupp of Eulalia Township is seeking one of the two Republican nominations for Potter County Commissioner to be decided in the May 21 municipal primary election.

“I am uniquely qualified to serve as commissioner because of my experience, proven leadership and an ability to provide a fresh perspective,” the candidate said.

She was born and raised in Coudersport, a daughter of the late Theodore (Sonny) and Verna Foust Sevinsky.

Grupp has more than 30 years of banking experience. She currently serves as president of the Potter County Township Officials Association and is a member of the steering committee for the Potter County Comprehensive Plan.

She is also a founding member of the Boys and Girls Club of Potter County; past president and current secretary of Coudersport Chamber of Commerce; past president of the Coudersport Rotary Club; and a graduate of Leadership Potter County. She has served as Eulalia Township secretary/treasurer since 2012, where part of her responsibilities includes oversight of the township’s annual budget.

Nancy, and her husband of over 40 years, Lynn Grupp, have three children and six grandchildren.
